Now "casting" for Entr'acte's February 27th Reading of "NO STRINGS"

Entr'acte PDX is now "casting" for our reading of the Samuel Taylor / Richard Rodgers musical, "No Strings." As always, casting is done via online sign-up (first-come, first-served). There is no group rehearsal, no pay, no public performance. Just sign-up, learn your part(s), and show up for the one-time-only reading on Sunday, February 27th at 7pm.

"No Strings" is the story of an American fashion model, living in Paris, and an expatriate American novelist whom she meets and falls in love with. The show debuted during the early part of the civil rights era. The script notes that the model, Barbara, is African-American, but no mention of her race or race in general is ever raised in the story. Rodgers got the idea for casting a black actress in the lead role after seeing Diahann Carroll on "The Tonight Show." According to his biographer, Geoffrey Holden, "He felt that the casting spoke for itself and any specific references to race in the play were unnecessary."

Web Comedy show

I am producing a web show that I want to start airing this year. The first few shows will be filming the end of this month. The show will be like In Living Colors and S.N.L. with short skits. Over time the show will probably expand into different things as well.
We are looking for a few actors and actresses with great talent and funny. We are also needing some one with creativity! This is not a paid gig; however, I do have things come up that do pay! I am wanting to get this off the ground and will hopefully see some return to give a return.
