Kristina Haddad at The Actors Lab

The Actor’s Lab is one of the most well respected and recognized names in Hollywood. Established in 1990 by J.D. Lewis, The Actor’s Lab has been home to many working actors in Los Angeles. Since then, The Actor’s Lab also opened studios in Charlotte, NC, Asheville, NC, and Portland, OR.

Each student invited into The Actor’s Lab program not only attends regular classes, but also is put on a business plan. This includes identifying castability, targeting agents, targeting casting directors, networking, and creating original projects.

Shelly Lipkin

Shelly Lipkin is an actor, director, playwright. Shelly also teaches acting and directing at The Art Institute of Portland, Clark College, Northwest Children’s Theatre and Lakewood Theatre.

Classes are held once a week for 8 weeks.
Cost: $295.00  (This fee covers all 8 weeks of the course.)

Ted Rooney 

Los Angeles actor, Portland resident, Ted Rooney offers coaching and classes and in acting for film and stage in Portland, Oregon. 

On camera, Ted has amassed over 35 TV guest-star and recurring credits and has over 15 principal movie roles and over 35 principal appearances in commercials.  Currently, he is teaching acting at George Fox University, on his own and with Portland Actors Conservatory.

Two Actorcises:  A Cold Reading Work Out

Jesse Vint

Jesse Vint teaches acting classes for adults and kids in Portland, Oregon.  In his Portland acting classes, Vint teaches that the study of acting has no equal in terms of personal growth, saying: "Even if you never make a dime as an actor, your life will be enormously enriched in terms of personal confidence, public speaking ability, meeting fascinating people, and delving into the great literary minds of past and present, like Shakespeare, Ibsen, and Chekhov".

Robert Blanche

Robert Blanche divides his time between Portland and LA working on projects such as working with actors and directors     like Robert Deniro and Oliver Stone. He has also been seen on television shows such as ER, Monk and Medium. Robert also has lent his talents to local independent cinema like Thumbsucker and What The Bleep Do We Know. He embraces the challenges and rewards that come from instruction and has proven record helping people get the skills they need to do great work on camera  and get into the world of cinema.
