Jewish Theatre Collaborative Auditions

Jewish Theatre Collaborative Auditions to be held at Miracle Theatre 425 SE Stark Street from 10-2 pm on January 17th 2011.

Non Union stage. Seeking 2 actors 1 Female and 1 Male to perform our 45 minute version of Jewish Theatre Collaborative's Life, Liberty & the Pursuit of Well Being: The Life of Lillian Wald a two person portable performance based on biography of Lillian Wald, Healthcare and social reformer.

The performance will tour through the spring to hospitals, nursing associations, government organizations, high schools and middle schools, energizing and informing the conversation around public health, inspiring hope and inviting action.

Most performances are weekday mornings or afternoons so a flexible schedule is a must. Need versatile actors able to play multiple parts and do quick changes for this fun, energetic ,interactive show. Partners or couples a plus. Please note that one member of the team MUST OWN an insured VEHICLE as the show is portable and fits in most small cars. Actor will be compensated for gas, parking.

Must be available for rehearsals early in March of 2011. Performances begin in late March. and continue thru the spring.

Baseball Pitchers needed 12/23 - 12 to 17 years old (Portland)

We are in need of baseball pitchers for filming on Thursday, December 23rd for 1-2 hours between noon and 5pm. The studio is near the hawthorne bridge. Pitchers will need to:
1) Competitively throw fastballs, curveballs, and changeups with decent accuracy
2) Have pitched this past season
3) Wear baseball pants, and jersey and hat of some kind
4) Be willing to assign rights to footage for use in training application
5) Be able to get to and from studio
6) Be able to obtain parental permission
7) Be able to throw 70 to 100 pitches (from 46 or 60 ft)

Compensation is $50 for 1-2 hour session.

Still looking to cast the part of;

a.. Oliver - (male) 40-45. Charlie's childhood friend. Imagines himself to be Tyrone Power. Must have that ageless quality he also plays Oliver at 18.

Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script. Please bring headshot and resume.

Story; Middle-aged Charlie returns home to his native Ireland to sort through and come to terms with his relationship to his thoroughly beguiling, maddening presence in his life: "Da" (His father). Reminiscence gives way to memory and illusion as an adolescent 'Young Charlie' is brought back from the past, while the man who is 'Charlie Now' grapples with his own mortality and the part of his life that will always be the irascible "Da.".

Runs Feb 4 - 27.
