Casting Call For Basketball Film Shoot, Wed Dec. 15th (PDX)

We are looking for athletic men aged 20-30 for a basketball related film shoot. Your look is more important than your skills on the court, but if you’ve got some game –that’s a plus! We can’t accept any applicants that play for actual university teams though, just recreational players.

If you think you’ve got the look and enough game please send us a picture to be considered. The shoot is a half day on Wednesday Dec 15th, but we will need you to be available the entire day. We may also need you to stop by our office later this week if you’re selected.

Compensation: Compensation is $150 plus you’ll get to keep whatever gear we outfit you in.

Masque Alfresco looking for an actress

Masque Alfresco seeks actress 20-30 yrs. who can play 18 for supporting role in Losing Ground in the Big City performing during 2011 Fertile Ground Festival.

We need a replacement for an actress who just sent word she's dropping out of Masque Alfresco's production.
The role is an 18 year old farm girl coming to terms with her brother's recent suicide, while she struggles to come into her own against the controlling fanaticism of her rural Christian upbringing. It's a supporting role in 2 major scenes.
We started rehearsals last night, and rehearse the family scenes again December 18th from 10-2 pm. No other rehearsals required in December, then three full weeks in January.

Performances run January 20-23, 2011 at The Headwaters Theatre in NE Portland, as part of Fertile Ground Festival.

There will be a small stipend based on an equal share of the box office.

AUDITIONS for 20 erotic shorts 2.0

Last year we sent out a call for submissions of short erotically themed pieces and received 90+ submissions from all sorts of folks from all over the country. We chose 20, cast some rad folks, and put on an awesome show. we had such a great time that we've decided to do it again this year, with twenty new pieces (we've received over 100 submissions this time around) There will not be any nudity in the show, but as it is an evening of erotic shorts, there will be heterosexual situations, homosexual situations, all kinds of situations.

rehearsals will start the second week of January and the performances will be February 10-14th and the 17th-20th. (two weekends, 9 shows).

Audition info: Next Tuesday, December 14th, from 6-8pm. auditions will be held at the eff Space (333 ne Hancock st). Come prepared with a 1 minute monologue, resume, and headshot. there will be a small amount of monetary compensation.

DIARY OF ANNE FRANK to Audition at TITG

Theatre in the Grove announces auditions for our upcoming production
of THE DIARY OF ANNE FRANK.

There are several roles available for boys and girls 12 to 18 years
old, as well as a number of roles for adult men and women.

Audition will consist of cold readings from the script. Prepared
monologues will be accepted, but are not required.

Auditions for 12 to 18 year olds will be Saturday, December 11 from
11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Sunday, December 12, from 5 p.m. to 7
p.m.. Adult auditions are Sunday, December 12 and 13 at 7 p.m..

All roles are volunteer.

All auditions are at Theatre in the Grove's Main Street Studio, 2011
Main Street, Forest Grove.

Performance dates are February 18, 19, 20, 25, 26, 27, and March 4, 5, 6, 2011.

A frolicky pansexual disco boy goes to despicable lengths trying to unlock his best friend's untouchable heart. Claude, who thinks other people's suffering is the height of comedy, has the power to bed anyone he wants... Anyone, that is, except Dean: Man of Mystery, and rising musical sensation. When Claude pursues clues to Dean's past through a series of one-night-stands, unscrupulous infatuation will be punished with the romance that both monsters deserve.

REHEARSAL DATE: JAN 15
There will be a single all-day rehearsal on Saturday January 15, working with director Brian Kettler.

PERFORMANCE DATE: JAN 22
The performance is Saturday January 22, 12:30 noon, on the mezzanine at the Armory. The show runs approx. 50 minutes. This will be a one-time staged reading, as part of the 2011 Fertile Ground Festival.

PAY: $10
All actors receive a $10 honoraria.

Casting for The Light (Working Title)

Casting Dates: 1/15/11 – 1/16/11 and 1/22/11 – 1/23/11

Young Lucian must deliver a letter through the forest to the doctor in the bordering town to save his dying mother. What waits for him deep in the forest is a creature that Lucian was raised not to believe in and now is the very thing that stands in his way.

Lucian Cain is a 13-year-old strong-willed boy. He takes care of his sick mother and struggles to do the daily chores because of his disabled leg. He doesn’t know why his mother is ill but he will do anything to protect her.

Lucian’s Mother is a 35-year-old loving woman. She has tuberculosis and knows that she is going to die in the near future. She believes that Lucian is capable of great things and wants nothing but the best for him.

Billy is a 14-year-old bully who dislikes Lucian. He bullies Lucian about his disability and the fact that he cares for his ailing mother. Billy is the leader of a group of troublemakers that will do whatever Billy says.

The Screamer (voice over) is an ancient and cunning demon. He lives in a well deep in the forest and lures his prey by disguising his voice. With his supernatural sense of smell the Screamer controls his victim’s minds. The Screamer’s only motivation is to eat any child that comes near him.

The Doctor is a 36 year-old man and does most of his practicing from his home.He is eager to help someone in need and truly enjoys his profession. He remembers delivering Lucian and feels deeply sorry for him.
