Casting Call
Hello Everyone!
As before this is another call for talent. I have tagged you either because you came to mind or know that if someone you knew jumped to mind you be willing to share.
This is a call for Zach Smith, who is embarking on his senior film. The film which has not been named yet (As i am aware) Is a visually motivated piece, much like a poem of some events that occured in Missouri. The film is on the dark side of things but knowing Zach should be stellar in its visuals. Here is some things Zach had to say to me about the piece.
my short film being shot this summer. It is a visually motivated interpretation that will give an insight into the lives of an old Missouri couple who find a bizarre way to make ends meet.
My two main characters, Ray and Faye, are a male and a female who are in their 70's. Ray is an uneducated, illiterate ranch man who has been in and out of jail for cattle theft and writing fraudulent checks. He is cold and has no compassion. He abuses his wife and kids, lives like he is above the law and is always struggling for money. Faye is a compulsive list keeper that suffers from battered wife syndrome and obvious insanity. All she wants is to have a normal life so she finds ways to cope with her extraordinary situation. These characters are extremely dark and need to have a certain appearance.
I am also looking for:
-a male between the ages of 30 and 40 to play as a cowboy styled hitch-hiker/ drifter
-a male between the ages of 45 and 50 to be a detective
-four males between the ages of 25 and 50 to be sheriffs
-another male between the ages of 40 and 50 to be a Judge
-four males and/or females between the ages of 30 and 40 to be lawyers
-a 20-30 year old female as the courtroom stenographer
-and I am also looking to get 10-15 extras to fill the courtroom
This will be a 5-10 minute piece with NO DIALOGUE. So the casting will not be the typical casting call but more of an opportunity for me to try and find the right look for each part. I am very excited for this production and know it is going to be something unique and special. Transportation, food, lodging, and a professional, fun experience will be provided. I would like to start casting sometime next week but the actual production won't be until August. The story, idea and crew are in place, all I need is you.

Open Auditions for "Twi-Lite" (SW Washington)
Announcing Open Casting Auditions for "Twi-Lite", a world-premiere musical-comedy-parody-melodrama coming to Loves Street Playhouse in September 2011. Produced by The Golden Garter Family Comedy Theater (previous shows have included A Magical Melodrama and Potter School Musical at The Magenta & Venetian Theaters), auditions begin immediately via their website with call-backs in July, rehearsals in August and nine performances on weekends from Sept. 9, 2011 through Sept. 25, 2011. Although rehearsals and performances will take place at Loves Street Playhouse in Woodland, "Twi-Lite" is an independent family-friendly production by The Golden Garter Family Comedy Theater and not affiliated with Loves Street Playhouse or Melinda Leuthold. Six characters will be cast for the original two act comedy musical melodrama parody, along with two understudies, and everyone will perform in the pirate-themed Olio that follows. Anyone age 16 or over is invited to audition and complete audition information and requirements can be found at www.GoldenGarterAuditions.com. The show will need the following cast members: Bella (late teens-early 20's girl), Edward (late teens-early 20's man), Jacob (any age male), Drake Ula (any age male), Igor (any age male or female) and Broom Hilda (adult female). An additional male and female will be cast to serve as understudies and featured players. All other requirements are at the audition website.
