Auditions: Saturday, February 12, 2011

This page contains auditions posted on Saturday, February 12, 2011.

How are those bookings coming along? Many of you also mentioned the idea of submitting to agencies. How have your experiences been when communicating with the agencies, and have you had any response? We'd love to hear your stories, and I encourage you to share your experiences with the community!

Wondering where the Seattle auditions have disappeared to? I received feedback that it may be helpful to separate the locations since many in the Portland area hope to solely book work here.
Check out my new blog for Seattle area auditions here!

If you are a fan of the blog, please share this with actor friends. If you have any feedback for me on how to improve my blog, share this with me so that I may work on improving the blog.

Thanks.

Seeking actor-type for autism program

START TRAINING IN MARCH

I have one paid opening for an energetic, "get-on-the-floor-and-play" person to join our team to provide behavior-based therapy to a great 9-year old boy. Thanks to this list serv, I found fantastic people who are still with our team (nods to Berl, Nicole, Greta, RaChelle...). So, I am definitely looking for actors with no previous experience with autism.

YOU...
~ Can improvise spontaneous play through high energy, creativity, and a fun attitude
~ Aren't shy or otherwise need to get "warmed up" in order to be creative
~ Are reliable, punctual, and committed (and your professional references would attest to this)
~ Are available throughout the week, esp. on Wednesday

Hours are flexible and scheduled around your availability. Lunch is provided during the 11:30-1:30 shift.

* You must be able to commit to at least 2 two-hour shifts per week and attend a team meeting every other weekend. *

Our program is as much about exploring your attitudes and beliefs as it is about helping a boy recover from autism to the best of his abilities. It's all about staying present, acceptance of anything that happens, and not having expectations of others.
