Casting for Feature Film

Auditions Aug 27th in PDX - FEATURE FILM - we have strong distribution contacts and will be shooting this project in the coming weeks.

This is a mockumentary feature film in the style of Christopher Guest (Best in Show, Waiting for Guffman) will follow several hard working men and women in the street sign holding industry and discover their dreams (fame and fortune) goals (the woman he wants) motivation (money to buy weed) and aspirations (control of the industry). What should be a simple story of someone needing a job in this tough economy it becomes much more as the two factions, those who wear costumes ("But we're artists!") and those who don't, (We don't need costumes, we spin signs!") and the impending UNION that will change their lives forever.

About our Company:

Site: www.wellfixitinpost.com
Our first live action short James Vs Reality has gone on to be selected for over 22 film festivals, WINNING DIY in Los Angeles and Award of Excellence at Accolades in San Diego. It will also be seen at Dragon*con next month in Atlanta.

Please see the trailer for the above short film here:
http://www.vimeo.com/15135199

OPEN CASTING CALL

TITLE: Shatterpoint

WRITER/DIRECTOR: Jason Hawkins
PRODUCED BY: Gravestone Entertainment
ASSOCIATE PRODUCER: Cineduction Group

Gravestone Entertainment is holding an open casting call for our upcoming proof of concept TV pilot. We are looking to fill 12 principle and approximately 15 supporting roles: all age ranges, genders, ethnicities, and body types are encouraged to audition. We are particularly interested in talent from the Northwest and are working to bring more film roles to our hometown.

Shatterpoint – noun
1. The point in the spacetime continuum when a particular version of reality is corrupted, causing that reality to shatter and be destroyed.

Shatterpoint is a new sci-fi/thriller project from the producers of the feature SAG indie film “The Innocent”, and the writer/director of the feature horror film “15”.

SHORT SYNOPSIS:

The fall of mankind is near. The seven deadly sins have spread their poison through our cultures, our cities, and our souls. As reality crumbles around us, one woman rises to fight for mankind’s very existence.

Guided by the seven heavenly virtues, and opposed by the seven deadly sins, her decisions will decide the fate of our reality. Pray for her, for if she falls, you will cease to exist.

AUDITION INFORMATION:

DATE: Sunday, August 28th from 9am – 10pm

Auditions will be held at the Shilo Inn –located at 9900 SW Canyon Road • Beaverton, OR 97220-1075, in the Oregonian B Ballroom. Talent should pull into the lower parking lot and enter the lower lobby to check in with the receptionist. A reception area will be available. This is an open call, please be aware that there may be a line ahead of you to audition.

We are currently auditioning for the 7 deadly sins, and the 7 heavenly virtues. Actors should have a 2-5 minute dramatic monologue prepared that deals with the particular sin/virtue they wish to audition for.

The 7 deadly sins are: Pride, Envy, Gluttony, Wrath, Greed, Sloth and Lust.

The 7 heavenly virtues are: Chastity, Temperance, Charity, Diligence, Patience, Kindness and Humility.

There are several good reference sites available online – simply google ‘7 deadly sin explained’ or ‘7 heavenly virtues explained’.

If not considered for a principle role, you may still be asked to return as a supporting role. Alternately; if you do not wish to prepare a ‘7 sins/virtues’ monologue, you may prepare a dramatic monologue of your choosing for consideration in a supporting role.

Please send headshots and resume.
