Still in need of an actress (Portland MCC )
I am still in need of a actress for the follow:

Hi there. I am in need of an Actress who can sing and is comfortable playing a Lesbian for my show Cafe Christmas. The character is part of a couple who owns a Cafe in a small mid-west town. Rehearsals are basically Sundays after MCC church lets out. 1130am and some saturdays. As the performance gets closer (Dec 16th) we will have some mid week rehearsals. I need to cast this part ASAP. We have already had music rehearsals and are beginning blocking rehearsals. The show is during church service at 10am Dec. 16th. One performance only so this will not take up alot of time. The actress must be comfortable playing a Lesbian and kissing another woman. Oh and she must be old enough to have a 19yr old son that the couple have raised.

Thank you, Maury

Field Reporter / Producer
Sustainable Today is a cable access program that convers the entire specturm of sustainability topics including social, economic and environmental issues. We produce once a month from Portland Community Media and the show is seen statewide over OPAN and OPB's Plus (10-2) channel.

We need volunteers to go with camera crews and interview & produce field segments for each show. These are project based segments that document a particular sustainable practice. They will be presented in series format from one program to another. Each 30 minute program will contain two or 3 of these segments. They may focus on a business that has benefited and/or is actively involved in sustainable activities and practices. Or, they may highlights grassroots, non-profit, local efforts to promote and advance sustainability. Most of the work is in the Portland metro area but we have and will travel statewide if necessary. We will take as many qualified volunteers as we can get.

The ideal person would be a journalism student or intern with a keen interest and developed research, interview and reporting skill as well as on-camera presentation talent. You will be required to research, contact, set up and report on-camera the various field pieces.

This is a polished production so if you are keen on sustainability and the environment, and want to gather some experience for your resume or even your personal life, you will be working with a seasoned veteran news photographer and an experienced crew. This is not your ordinary public access show.

This program is an all volunteer effort. None of the producers, directors, talent or crew are paid.

We need CREW positions too. For studio crew positions, certification from Portland Community Media is required, for field work that uses PCM equipment, certification is also required.
No certification is required for on camera talent or for shoots where your own equipment (if you have it) is used.

We are seeking funding for wider distribution and national exposure through our non-profit organization called The Center for a Sustainable Today.
So there is a possibility this could turn into a more permanent paid position down the road.

See us at http://sustainabletoday.org
Please include your resume and a photo if you have one. Looking forward to your responses.
