Curious Comedy Theater is hiring for a Box Office/Operations Manager.

Are you someone who can hop behind a bar, handle a tech booth or run a box office as needed? Better yet, are you great at scheduling and managing other people to cover those positions? Can you be both warm and welcoming but also tough when needed? Do you have a laptop and a car? Then we need you!
Curious Comedy is looking for a “jack of all trades” with a great personality to manage the front of house in our rapidly growing comedy theater every Friday and Saturday night plus alternating Thursdays and Sundays. Our House Manager also manages theater rentals, special events, in addition to other operations and facility related duties.

Job will average 15 hours per week with potential for more hours as we expand our programming. Salary is commensurate with experience.

Jewish Theatre Collaborative seeks male actor for staged reading

Jewish Theatre Collaborative seeks an actor to play a young African-American boy (plays 12-14 but could be an older actor) in a staged reading adaptation of Patricia Polacco's story, Mrs. Katz and Tush. The reading will take place at the Oregon Jewish Museum on February 12th at 2PM. There will be two three-hour long rehearsals in the week prior. Stipended pay available.

This is the non-musical version of the play. Several actors will fly in theatrical harnesses and rigging. Actors should be physically fit and confident of their athletic abilities.

Auditions for Triangle Productions

triangle productions! is seeking the following for an upcoming show in May entitled GRACIE.

AUDTIONS ARE ONLY HELD BY APPOINTMENT AND ARRANGED ONLY WITH PHOTO/RESUME’ SUBMITTED.

NEEDED:

A) a ventriloquist act. This is needed only in the first act of the show and the act needs to be at least 7 to 10 minutes in length

B) a ‘dog trick’ act. This is needed only in the first act of the show and the act needs to be at least 7 to 10 minutes in length

C) male dancers/singers Needed: two male dancer/singers age range 21-40. The role calls for various dance, singing and acting abilities – these roles are part of the ensemble (one additional male role has been cast)

D) female dancer/singers Needed: five female dancer/singers age range 21-40. The role calls for various dance, singing and acting abilities – these roles are part of the ensemble.

All roles are paid. Rehearsals begin in the first of April. The show plays in Portland for four weeks and then transfers to Seattle for two weeks.

Casting Call: Portland Tour Guides

As you probably know, most of the Portland Walking Tours team are fellow actors, improv, and theatre professionals. Now is possibly your turn to join the gang, so apply now.

Do you love Portland? Can you command a crowd, make them laugh, and have everyone eating out the palm of your hand? If so, then this is the job for you!

Portland Walking Tours is looking for fun and dynamic personalities to lead tours and other events. We are hiring over a dozen positions that are part-time and on-call. You must have leadership abilities, charisma, a sense of humor, great communication skills, and an obvious love of Portland. Since we run morning, afternoon, and evening events, you may work irregular hours with the the bulk done from April through November. We're an established company that's been around over a decade and successful enough that during the regular tour season we run daily tours with over 40 events per week (not including dozens of private events). Doing tours is a combination of thinking on your feet, telling engaging stories, and keeping everyone on a tour entertained. Like all of us, once you're leading tours, you'll be amazed that you're getting paid for doing something so ridiculously fun. POSITION: Resident Expert (aka Tour Guide).

AUDITIONS: January 21, 22, 28 and 29 (which are Saturdays and Sundays).

CALLBACKS: Immediately thereafter.

REHEARSALS: Multiple days on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays in February and March.

PAY: Once hired, starts at $10/hour + tips/gratuities. Tips will often triple that amount so it's not uncommon that most of us make about $100/day.

Looking for an actress in the 18-30 age range. The role will require blood and make-up effects...full-body horror makeup, nudity required...but not gratuitous. The rehearsal schedule will be Monday - Friday from 12-4 for three weeks. Time in the studio recording ADR and voiceovers will be required.

JASON: (AGE RANGE 20-29) A thief with a twitch. He has an odd sense of humor, and has a high amount of anxiety. Always acts guilty.

BRODY: (AGE RANGE 18-24) sex offender, Stubborn, feels abandoned and isn't comfortable being in treatment. Angry, frustrated, and untrusting.

CHUCK (AGE RANGE 20-35) Drug Dealer, Confident, laid back, "professional," Doesn't take anything seriously. Genuine person.

JUDGE (AGE RANGE 35-50) Sex offender, on his last day of treatment. Reformed, yet carries the burden of all the pain he has caused. Strong yet vunerable. Self aware, willing to admit mistakes.

DEREK (AGE RANGE 25-35) Security, makes sure that there is order, and protects the therepist.
