Seeking five creative, open, collaborative actors. An ensemble working together to help create the world of this play which shifts from real to surreal at the flick of a switch. Although the piece deals with some serious themes and requires emotional depth we are looking for actors with a light, simple, and straightforward approach. These characters are very human...except when they're fish.

Lucy- (female 20's) intelligent, curious, guarded. A science student attempting to reach an understanding of her mother's illness and cure through several experiments involving electricity. Begins with good intentions but quickly becomes obsessed and consumed by her work. Actor will also play eight year old Lucy in flashback scenes.
Considering both union and non-union.

Clare- (female 20's) Lucy's roommate and friend. Funny, caring, uninhibited. Often speaks without a filter. Non-union only.

Mark- (male 20's) Lucy's boyfriend- earnest, loving, sensitive, quirky. Much more right brained than left. A patient man but not without limits. Non-union only

Louise (35-early 50's)- Lucy's mother. Struggles with everyday life and mental illness. Throughout the play she is at once sexual, confused, forgetful, courageous, and wise. Considering both union and non-union.

One versatile actor to play multiple roles including:
Conrad (male 35-early 50's) Lucy's father. Kind, caring, understanding, proud parent. We also see him in flashbacks struggling to balance both parenthood and his wife's illness.
Allesandro (male 40's-early 50's)  17th-century Italian. Sexual, mysterious, mischievous.
Eugene (male, old, 70's+) From the old country. A widower who misses his wife and longs to reunite with her. Brave, fearless, insightful. Ready to go!

Considering both union and non-union

Spokesperson Needed for Video Project (Hillsboro)

How would you like to make a top shelf movie that is Totally Legitimate?

I am working on a new start-up company that is an environmentally friendly bottled water company. We will use some of our company profits to go into third world countries and drill water wells, so that kids can have fresh clean water. You should be an attractive lady (you don't need to be a bombshell) that has a great enthusiastic personality and wants to be creative in making a movie about my company. I am raising several thousand dollars to start the company, so this has to be very professional and top of the line. It will be posted to specific start-up company web sites, and the project funding will be based somewhat on the video production. This project does involve our helping the thirsty children of our world, so it has to be 100% clean and legitimate. This is not, and I repeat NOT a solicitation for anything illegal or weird in any way, what so ever. We would like this project to be synonymus with Walt Disney ethics.

You will be the main character in the film, and will be working with myself, the founder of the organization, and my filmmaker to produce the project. Our intention is to raise several hundred thousand dollars, and we will make an arrangement for compensation for the project on a percentage of the contribution basis. This is an incentive based project to produce a video that will encourage others to give to our cause. If you do well with the production, it could mean several thousand dollars paid to you as a commission for the production. There is risk for all that are involved, if we do not meet our goal in raising our funds, the project will not be funded and we get nothing. However if we meet our goal, everybody's pocket is going to be very happy. I would like this project to be fun, but serious as we work on it. Compensation is negotiable, and I would like you to feel it was the best project you ever did, and very worthwhile. If your interested, contact me through this post and let me know why I should choose you for the project. Please also include a photo and your contact information. Thanks for your consideration. We are also looking for volunteers on various projects, so if you have an interest in involvement for a great cause, please feel free to contact me as well.

Have a Happy Day!

Location: Hillsboro

Compensation: Commision
