Experienced Actor for Murder Mystery Theater (PDX)

Hello, we are the Portland troupe of The Murder Mystery Co. We perform a highly interactive version of murder mysteries - it's very much like a giant interactive game of clue. We are auditioning for two male actors able to play Detective, which means you have to master lots of detailed information and love interacting with audience members. We are also auditioning for another primary character - a mildly villainous Hollywood Producer.

We are looking for actors 28 yo+ who have substantial acting experience, can an improv on the fly, and maintain character while interacting with audience members (the focus is mostly on the audience...). Murder Mystery, Improv, Children's Theater, Theme Park, and/or LARP experience is a bonus. (Please note that this is not children's theater, but we have noticed that in addition to those experienced with improv, theme partk, and LARP, those with children's theater experience tend to really "get" being audience interactive).

Shows are performed 2-4 times per week all year with themes that change every 3 months. We have several actors in the troupe and scheduling is according to availability (ie: you are not required to be in every show). Pay is per show. In May we are moving to a new venue closer to downtown Portland.

Compensation: Pay is per show, direct depositted by The Murder Mystery Co.

Please email headshot and resume. Auditions to follow.

Thank you,
David Ronen
Director, The Murder Mystery Company, Portland

Actress wanted Immediately - Wednesday film shoot

A student crew from CCC producing a short film which will be shown at our college's annual film festival in June. We are currently in production and looking to fill a small role. The film follows a young guy and a girl who wake up the morning after a party together and have to banter wildly over whether they had sex the night before. The role we are trying to fill is the lead males girlfriend, "Delaney", who arrives on the scene at the height of the conversation and must have her suspicions put to rest. Delaney is a rather naive and gullible character, unable to see past the clear signs that her boyfriend slept with another woman. Her age range is in her early 20s.

We are set to shoot the scene with Delaney's character this Wednesday (April 24th), as we are planning on wrapping production that day. We have set a block of time from noon till 7 p.m. that day to wrap shooting in which anyone interested in the role would need to be available. We perceive the portion of the film including Delaney's character to take approximately 2 - 2 1/2 hours to shoot so even if you do not have wide open availability on Wednesday, availability long enough to shoot her part will work and we will revolve the shoot around that availability if necessary. Anyone interested will be supplied with a brief outline of the film to get better acquainted with it as well as the portion of the script including Delaney's character.
We are looking to fill this role as soon as possible!
