Casting: Joseph Papp's musical PIRATES OF PENZANCE

Clark College is presenting Joseph Papp's version of PIRATES OF PENZANCE directed by Kirk Mouser (Executive Artistic Director of Stumptown Stages)at Gaiser Hall. Rehearsals begin 12/27, Opens 2/25, Closes 3/5.

The cast features:
Lisamarie Harrison as Ruth;
Thomas Lindsley as the Pirate King;
Joy Fischer as Mabel;
Matthew Bells as Frederic;
Adam Davis as the Sergeant;
Wes Harris as the Modern Major General

Current Roles available:
3 women to play (daughters/cops)
(age range 16-30)must sing and move well

CASTING CALL - PAID GIG

Looking for 2 Male Actors for a 3-hour shoot this Sunday, Dec. 12, 6-9pm.
This is for a 3-minute edited scene of a simple conversation. It is for a
health video about malaria prevention for outdoor workers around the world.
There will be a script, but expect some light improvisation as well. Good
comedic delivery and timing a plus.

PAY:
$200 each, paid same day. An edited copy will also be provided in a digital
format.

LOCATION:
TBD, but will be an Interior in Downtown Seattle area, such as a small
office/break room.

CAST BREAKDOWN:

1-Young-Adult Male, aged 18-30, preferably darker skinned and ethnic
looking, like a Native Australian, South American, or Caribbean

1-Older-Adult Male, aged 50-65, preferably lighter skin and of Anglo origin.

defunkt theatre seeking women for "Attempts on Her Life"

Hello,

Somewhat last minute, but defunkt will be holding auditions for women
only for "Attempts on Her Life" directed by Grace Carter on Sunday,
December 12 at the Back Door Theater at 1 pm. Women of all ages are
encouraged to attend. Auditions will consist of readings from the
script. RSVPs would be appreciated, but as this is last minute, feel
free to just show up. Pdfs of the script are available upon request.

Compensation: we are applying for grants and hope to offer stipends for
our actors.

DEATH OF THE PARTY - by Sven Bonnichsen
A frolicky pansexual disco boy goes to despicable lengths trying to unlock his best friend's untouchable heart. Claude, who thinks other people's suffering is the height of comedy, has the power to bed anyone he wants... Anyone, that is, except Dean: Man of Mystery, and rising musical sensation. When Claude pursues clues to Dean's past through a series of one-night-stands, unscrupulous infatuation will be punished with the romance that both monsters deserve.

REHEARSAL DATE: JAN 15
There will be a single all-day rehearsal on Saturday January 15, working with director Brian Kettler.

PERFORMANCE DATE: JAN 22
The performance is Saturday January 22, 12:30 noon, on the mezzanine at the Armory. The show runs approx. 50 minutes. This will be a one-time staged reading, as part of the 2011 Fertile Ground Festival.

PAY: $10
All actors receive a $10 honoraria.

Evergreen Family Theatre (Redmond, WA) announces auditions for Fools, by
Neil Simon, on December 27 starting at 6:00 PM.

Hilarious comedy set in a remote Ukrainian village in 1890 . . . "We're
unteachable. We're all stupid in Kulyenchikov. There isn't a town or village
more stupid . . . all good people, mind you, but not a decent brain among
