Need replacement actor for staged reading ASAP!!!!!
I'm looking for an immediate replacement for an actor in a staged reading of a play that I am directing (note: this is a non-paying gig). Casting for the role of "Mohammad" in a staged reading of a play by Portland playwright Sharon Sassone. The play is called "Jerusalem Story"; it's an adaptation of Romeo and Juliet, set within the modern-day Isreal-Pallestine conflict. Mohammad (the character we're casting for) is the Palestinian equivalent of Romeo; somebody with a [youthful] quality who can play late-teens/early-twenties with a quality of sincerity. The reading will be videotaped in a studio for a cable-access show. The taping takes place on November 6th from 4pm to 9pm. Other than that, there is a rehearsal on Tuesday November 1st from 7pm till 9:30pm.
I would also like to schedule one additional rehearsal with just him and the female lead, scheduled around his availability.

Male Reader Needed by Nov. 7
Male reader needed. This is a unique opportunity to join a group of three percussionists and two vocalists performing a reading of a sinewy story set in Nepal. If you are comfortable with singing, there could be a bit of singing, but it is not necessary.
What is necessary is the commitment to the rehearsal times and a good reading voice. This performance is especially appealing to those interested in experimental percussion and/or world beats. At this time this is a non-paying position. Rehearsals are: Nov. 7 (evening) and 1-3pm on Nov. 26, Dec. 10. and January 7. Performances and a video tapping on Jan. 14, 21, 28. Depending on booking, performances will be through the winter and spring.

We're looking for an ASM/Sound Board Operator for One Earth, One Dream, a RACC funded evening of readings, songs and improvisations based on the stories in people's dreams and what famous folks have said over the years about the dream world.
Two Performances:
Saturday and Sunday December 3 and 4 at 7:30 at Tabor Space, 5411 SE Belmont.
Rehearsals:
Tuesday November 22 at 7 PM
Sunday November 27, evening
Plus 1 rehearsal TBA
