Casting "Mom" and "Dad" for Local Commercials (Portland)
Ibexspots is casting for a "Mom" and "Dad" in their mid 30's to late 40's to appear in a set of commercials we are producing for a small telecommunications company. We will be shooting typical family scenes using telecommunications products like Phone, Internet and Cable TV in early to mid-December. There will be very few spoken lines, but much improving of family interactions.
We will pay $1,600 each for the parts, and we expect the filming to take 3 to 4 days at Portland area location(s). We will also provide a digital file and/or a DVD of the finished commercials for your reel.
If you are interested, please respond with a head shot and/or digital photo(s), contact information and details about any acting experience you have. From these responses, we will select actors to invite to a 10-minute audition at our office in Portland on October 24 or 25th.

Staged! announces open auditions for the Portland premiere of Jason Robert Brown's *13*.
Directed by Paul Angelo, with Musical Director Andrew Bray (the creative team behind Staged!’s award-winning productions
of *Les Miserables* and *Big River*). Stage Manager Corinne Lowenthal.
WHEN: Monday, October 17th and Tuesday, October 18 from 6:00-9:00 pm.
Callbacks will be Sunday October 23rd from 1-5:30 pm and will consist of cold readings and a dance audition.

Rehearsals will begin November 1st. Opening Night will be February 2nd. Actors will be given time off for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's which accounts for the early start date of rehearsal.
Seeking young actors who can play 12-14 years old--strong singers who can maintain solo harmonies are required. There are thirteen roles; all are open. Actors should prepare 32 bars from contemporary musical theatre. Please no songs from the show. Parents are strongly encouraged to read the script. The musical deals frankly, honestly,
directly and humorously with the lives of young people in today’s world.

Show Choir Auditions
STAGES Performing Arts Youth Academy in Hillsboro is calling all young singers, ages 13 – 20, who love to perform!
We are starting a new Show Choir!!
(think “Glee” or “The Sing-Off”)
Not your rigid standard school choir stuff here…oh, no! We’ll be doing pop, jazz, and musical theatre pieces complete with fun choreography. We won’t just be standing on risers making pretty sounds. We’re going to move!!
You don’t need to read music to audition (you’ll learn a lot about that in this group) but you must have a good ear and be able to recognize and stay on pitch. You don’t have to have a great solo voice (you will learn to sing with a group and even harmonize) but if you can solo, you’ll get a chance to shine here!
You don’t need to be a great dancer, but you have to be able to learn dance movement and follow directions. You must be able to learn quickly and be ready to have some serious fun.

Seeking actor for staged reading
I'm looking for an actor to play the role of "Mohammad" in a staged reading of a play by Portland playwright Sharon Sassone. The play is called "Jerusalem Story"; it's an adaptation of Romeo and Juliet, set within the modern-day Isreal-Pallestine conflict. Mohammad (the character we're casting for) is the Palestinian equivalent of Romeo; somebody with a [youthful] quality who can play late-teens/early-twenties. The reading will be videotaped in a studio for a cable-access show. The taping takes place on November 6th from 4pm to 9pm. Other than that, the time commitment will be 2 rehearsals (lasting 2 hours each) to be scheduled around actors' availabilities.
