Family Stock Shoot (Portland)
We are a film & video production company based in Oregon City Oregon; we are looking for an real family for a lifestyle video stock shoot. We are looking for a family with 2 or more kids ranging from ages 2-12 years old.
The shoot date is scheduled for Monday August 1st. Call time will depend on actor's availability, but it will likely be in the afternoon.
All of our shoots are PAID gigs. The amount of pay depends on what type of gig it is, how long the shoot is for, and whether or not the gig is a "client" production or for stock. The rate will be discussed prior to booking.
There are no lines or sound in the shot.

Film project about adolescence
We are looking to work with a group of 12-19 year-olds for a documentary film about adolescence.
· The film is titled Milestones of Development and it is being produced by a professor at Portland State University
· The film is being produced in conjunction with McGraw Hill Publishing
· It is an educational documentary about the daily lives of young people aged 11-19.
· We are looking for a diverse set of friendly youths.
· We will conduct video interviews of the youths twice during the next few months. Also, students will be invited to submit their own video sequences which may include in the final product

Looking for extras to act as college students in a law class scene
MetroEast is producing several educational videos about the court system in a quick paced, slightly comic, sketch/segment style like "Bill Nye Science Guy" or "Good Eats with Alton Brown". These class scenes are where an impassioned "Professor" is preaching to his captive audience of law students. (FYI-this is a non union production.)
Though for the most part the extras are faces in a crowd, there will be close-ups of a variety of student reactions (interested, amused, distracted, diligent etc) so if you're interested in doing some of this acting, or if you prefer to be more "background" please let it be known.
Shoot Day: Sunday August 7th
Time: We need some people who can stay the whole time (11am to 6pm) and some for only the first scenes (11am to 2pm) The end times are approximate but give you and idea of the time commitment. It would be great to have some people who are interested in staying the whole time.
Location: Mount Hood Community College
Looks: We would like a wide variety of looks (preppy, punk, hipster, normal) all in the general student age range of 20 to 30 years old.
Compensation: This is a volunteer role, we hope this will be an interesting "behind the scenes" peek at a production. Actors will be fed, and will receive a copy of the DVD when it is completed.

It would be great if you could send: a photo (so if we reach our max of "cute readheads" or "moody hipster types" we will know!) your availability that day, your phone number, any dietary restrictions, and anything else important for us to know. Feel free to spread this message to others you know who might be interested.
Couple other things:
As an aside for on-set etiquette...it's important for the extras to stay relatively focused and quiet. Being an extra is an important job, they really make the scene come alive! But with such a big crowd it's easy for individual conversations to become a din that's hard to work around between takes, so it's key for us to fill the room with people who can stay focused, and be sensitive to directions and crew instructions. Patience is a great quality when filling a role like this.
A little about distribution for the project:
The videos will be broadcast on cable access stations around the state through an OSU cooperative network. Copies of the videos will be distributed on CDs to schools statewide and will be featured on YouTube and the MBA and ProtectOregonCourts Web sites, with links from various educational, civic organizations and news media Web sites.
