Horror film ACTRESSES NEEDED 4 Paid Job (Portland)
ACTORESSES NEEDED
I am directing a horror film, as a school project for my film class. I have just about everyone I need but I am looking for THREE young actresses to fill three small remaining parts. The film will be silent with a series of music scores so knowing your lines won't even be a problem, however the players will need to have excellent facial expressions.
I do not want to give too much information out to just anybody, so I will just give a brief description of each of the three roles I need cast.
Becky -- 4'5 to 5'4, brunet, 18-23 years of age, very shy and innocent.
Rachel -- 4'5 to 5'4, brunet or blond, 18-25 years of age, hippie and perky
Matilda -- 5'0 to 5'8, Brunet, black, or dyed, 18-24 years of age, goth and punk rock style.
Each actor/actress will be paid for their work, for approximately 4 to 5 hours of work. Please send me a snapshot, a resume, and contact information as well as what role you are interested in. If I think there's a match, I will call you for an interview about the role.

Voiceover talent needed (Portland)
We are looking for a voice over talent to narrate an 8-minute pilot segment for an upcoming series.
The ideal candidate will be somewhere between Ira Glass and Tom Bodett....not too east coast, not too rural. Interesting voice quality of some kind...engaging, personable, someone who sounds like they can "spin a yarn". More dynamic than Garrison Keillor, not as manic as Spalding Grey. Someone who is more a storyteller than a neutered narrator. Could be male or female, just looking for someone...different...is that you?
If interested, please record yourself reading the brief selection pasted below. You can post it on the web and send us the link.
Or you can mail a CD to:

I need to receive your audition piece by July 18th. No calls, no drop bys please!
Please do NOT send audio files to this email address, as I won't open attachments from people I don't know.
Here is the audition selection: (don't worry about the music part!)
NARRATOR:
Life on the Edge. . .it's a question of what it takes to survive. What risks are we willing to take--calculated or not--that may save or even just improve our lives? Is it about walking away from what seems dangerous, even if it means running towards an unknown? Living life on the edge means very different things today than it did 10,000 years ago. . .the farmer gambling on enough rain, the small business owner staking her savings on a new product, a firefighter charging into a burning building.
[pause, music up]
Lots of people live on the edge, one way or another. Some of them by choice, and some. . ... not so much.
[pause, music up]
Sometimes survival is a game of chance. . ..sometimes you put it all out there and you make it, and sometimes you pay a staggering price for failure. Cody Cameron's story is one of surviving--and succeeding--at life on the edge.
Please do not send any other audition pieces as I need to move quickly and really need a specific type for this specific script style.
This will be a local record (in Portland) so please only contact us if you can be available in Portland for a 1/2-day recording session in mid- to late August.
Thanks in advance for your interest!
