EQUITY & NON-EQUITY GENERAL AUDITION ANNOUNCEMENT
June 13th – 15th, 10:00am-5:00pm
Prepare two contrasting monologues and for singers an optional 16 bars of a song, (accompanist will be provided on June 13, 2011 only). Equity Actor's audition should be no longer than 4 minutes in length. Total Non-Equity Actor's audition should be no longer than 2 minutes (we may only have time to see one monologue for Non-Equity Actors). Please bring two headshots w/resumes. Equity appointments can be made by leaving a message at 503-445-3849. Someone will get back to you to schedule an audition time. You will be required to show your Equity card at the audition. For Non-Equity Actors: please show up the day of the auditions for an appointment. We will begin making appointments at 10:00 am in the lobby of the theater. Auditions for The Diviners
Villages Players Theatre Company is proud to announce auditions for their summer production of The Diviners by Jim Leonard, Jr. Auditions will be Saturday, June 18 from 2 PM until 5 PM. Please email director James Wykowski at jameswykowski@sandiego.edu if you plan to attend. Please attach a resume and headshot if possible and indicate which roles, if any, in which you are interested. In lieu of a headshot or resume a current picture and a brief summary of any theatrical experience would be appreciated.
Auditions will be held at the following address:

Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script. Sides will be available starting at 1:30 for perusal. We will have three rehearsals between June 20th and July 1st. Rehearsals will begin again three times a week in the evenings the week of July 18th, depending on cast availability.
Performances will be on August 18, 19, 20, 25, 26, and 27 at 7pm.
Compensation is available for all roles based on total ticket sales. The characters are as follows:
Buddy Layman- An innocent, "simple" boy
Jennie Mae Layman- Buddy's older sister
Ferris Layman-Buddy and Jennie Mae's father, and a mechanic
C.C. Showers- A backsliding preacher and newcomer to the town
Norma Henshaw-The owner of Hoosier Dry Goods and a vigilant Christian
Darlene Henshaw-Norma's niece and Jennie Mae's young friend
Goldie Short- Owner of the Dine-Away-Café and Norma's fellow believer
Basil Bennett- An older farmer and town leader
Luella Bennett-Basil's skeptical, outspoken wife
Melvin Wilder- A farmhand who works under Basil
Dewey Maples- A young farmhand

Actress/Soprano needed ASAP
CoHo and Madder Music Theatricals are seeking a replacement soprano for an upcoming production. AUDITIONS ARE NEXT WEEK! Here's the deal:
Needed: Soprano, who can play 20-25 and do French and German dialects.
Show: Madder Music & Stronger Wine, Book by Russ Cowan, Music by Sir Arthur Sullivan
Performances: August 3 - 25, 2011 - Thu, Fri, Sat at 8pm, Sun at 2pm
Rehearsals: Begin Saturday, June 18 at 10am, will typically be weekday evenings and Saturday mornings through most of June and July.
Auditions will be Tuesday, June 14 and Wednesday, June 15 at 6pm at CoHo Theater -2257 NW Raleigh St.
Callbacks will be Wednesday, June 15 at 7pm, casting will be finalized by Thursday, June 16.
Be prepared to sing any song in soprano range, if you can do something with a dialect, that will be great but is not required.
Please bring a headshot and resume to the audition, as well as a list of any conflicts from now until August 25.
There is pay.
