Third Eye Theatre Auditions for Upcoming Production

Hello everyone, there are quite a few roles available, and this production is somewhat male heavy. Male characters range in age from 19-60. There are only 3 roles that are specifically female, and they are generally younger, though one could be a bit older. All roles are voluntary, and this production is not for the faint of heart, but we would love to see you. I believe you can see the character breakdown on our facebook page as well.

Anyhow, below is the essential information.

Third Eye Theatre will be holding auditions for their upcoming production of Porn Shop!!! by John Heller on Saturday, November 27, 2010 at 12:00pm. All roles are available, and will be unpaid & voluntary. Auditions will be held at the Back Door Theater, located at 4319 SE Hawthorne Blvd (behind the Common Grounds Coffee Shop). Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script. Headshot & resume requested but not required. No appointments necessary. For further information call 503-970-8874.

Porn Shop!!! runs January 7- February 12, 2011 with shows on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturday nights at 8:00pm at The Back Door Theater, and will participate in Fertile Grounds. For reservations or information call 503-970-8874.

Porn Shop!!! is a hilarious, adult themed, romantic comedy about love, friendship, and day to day life working at a Porn Shop. Created by new Portland playwright John Heller, Porn Shop! takes a hard look at social issues important to the 20 and 30 something crowd such as superhero sexuality, lesbians, blow up dolls, promiscuous drunken sex, Bourbon and just how big is too big when your partner buys you a vibrator. Featuring witty dialogue along the lines of Waiting, Empire Records, and Clerks, Porn Shop! delves into the lives of 7 young people who know more about Star Trek and sex toys than they do about the friendships and relationships they participate in every day. If you like your comedy funny, sarcastic, poignant and a little bit risqué Porn Shop is a show you have to see!

Music Video Needs Extras

There is a Music Video shoot on Saturday Dec. 4th that's going to air nationally, and we're looking for extras to come fill out our stage for a club scene! Basically all you have to do is dance & party like you normally would... there will just be lots of lights & cameras.

Recently unemployed and called on to do a favor (THE OTHER THING) for a friend (he owes $500 to) Grog is forced to re-acquaint himself with old connections he hasn't seen in years. His current relationship with annoying girlfriend Darla is further put to the test when Betty (a fetching young lass... aka hot hipster chick) comes into the picture... It's a love story.
