models needed for vintage clothing (se portland)

We run an online vintage shop and are looking for models in a variety of sizes.

Although we cannot pay in cash, we are offering a credit on any of the clothes you are interested in purchasing to the tune of $15/hr OR trade for your personal use. We can also arrange trade for headshots/ engagement pics or any of your other photography needs. Photos will be high quality and professional (we also run a photography business). Eventually, we'd like to schedule regular sessions and pay cash when business picks up.

Most shoots will be done in the studio in SE Portland but when the weather clears up we may shoot outside on location around town as well.

Please send a photo if you're interested and we will send you some of our work to see if we'd be a good fit. Some info about you would be great too. Our ideal candidate is easygoing and appreciates vintage fashion!

Video Editor (Pearl)

We're a boutique (read: small) creative agency looking for a freelance video editor to work on a project to project basis in our Portland office.
You'll be working with our very close-knit post-production team here as well as in NYC, so we'd like you to be friendly as well as talented.
We work predominantly with spirits brands and the cocktail world, so personal interest in the craft cocktails would be a HUGE plus.

Ideally we're looking for an editor with at least 2 years of professional experience, but will consider less if you're particularly awesome.
However, you should have experience cutting fast paced and story driven videos, and be able to turn around solid work in short order.
We have a handful of longer projects in the works at the moment, so for the right editor a long-term commitment is definitely an option here.

To Apply:
Fill out the following questionnaire and attach a resume and links to your work.
Ideally we'd like to see a few videos that you have edited from beginning to end, with a particular emphasis on high energy cutting.
Show us something that says you know how to tell a story.

Vitals:
-Name
-Contact Information

Experience:
-What are your strengths as an editor?
-How long have you been working professionally?
-Do you currently hold other freelance gigs? If so, can we contact them for reference?
-What are your day and half-day rates?

Most Importantly:
-What is your favorite cocktail? Why?

Be Gone, Dull Care

Hello PDX Backstage!

I'm producing/staging a performance installation project called "Be Gone, Dull Care" on February 19, 2012 with Trinity Music - the acclaimed music series of Trinity Episcopal Cathedral in Portland - and I seek an unconventional lighting designer to work with me on the project.

A stipend (min. $250) is available for the work.

A bit about the project:
"Be Gone, Dull Care" is a semi-staged performance installation that combines sound, light and text in a sacred space, celebrating the movement in late winter from despair to hope, from darkness to light.

There is one performance only: Sunday, February 19, 2012 - 5 pm at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral in Portland.

I seek a collaborating lighting designer to help design - and run - lights for this performance: both with instruments and resources currently available within the Cathedral space, and also with rented instruments (as well as, potentially, with candle light, natural light and other theatrical or non-theatrical lighting). The ideal candidate will have experience lighting for music and/or theatre, especially in unconventional or sacred spaces.

Featured musicians for "Be Gone, Dull Care" include the Portland Cello Project, In Mulieribus, violinist Adam LaMotte, Cappella Romana and koto player Mitsuki Dazai, and Oregon Poet Laureate Paulann Petersen is also part of this project.

I look forward to hearing from interested applicants! Thanks for all you do, PDX Backstage.

Best,
Stephen
