Beware the Ides of March because today we can team up and make a difference. Join the Oregon Media Production Assn (OMPA) at the Captiol Steps in Salem to help extend and enhance the Oregon Production Investment Fund to prioritize the growth of good jobs in Oregon. Join fellow industry members and show your support of HB 2167 to keep the film incentive program alive and well in Oregon. For more information, click here. I look forward to tomorrow when the chat box will explode with everyone's feedback, experiences, and amazing stories about how they played a role in making a difference.
For this week's specific topic of discussion, let's talk about getting an agent. I know we talked about this a while back, but it's worth bringing up again. How important is having an agent in a smaller market like Portland? Are you currently signed, and does having an agent help you get work and exposure in Portland, or does it just serve a purpose on paper? If you don't have an agent, what steps are you taking to get signed? Share in the chat box below where you are with your career and how you feel about being represented by an agent.
If you are a fan of the blog, please share this with actor friends. If you have any feedback for me on how to improve my blog, share this with me so that I may work on improving the blog.
Thanks.

Active Senior Couple for Photoshoot
I am a local commercial photographer working on a stock photography project. I am looking for an active couple, age 60+ for a one hour photoshoot. Couple should be clean cut and weight height proportionate.
If you are interested please send a current image of the two of you smiling. The photoshoot will require a lot of smiling. Please include any props that might be of interest for this photoshoot (i.e. convertible car, motorcycle/scooter, beach cruiser bikes, backpacking packs, surfboards, etc.) The shoot itself will likely depend on what sort of activities you typically participate in. For instance, I would like to do a shoot with a couple hiking in the Gorge, but will only do so if the two of you like to hike and have the gear to do so.
Let me know if you are interested. Pay is $50 for a one hour shoot. You will also receive a DVD of the photos for your own enjoyment.

zombies needed
i'm making a surreal music video for a local band that involves 4-10 zombies.
i have clearance to film at the lone fir cemetery (SE 25th and stark) .
the idea is that a salsa dancing protagonist is engaged in an atypical zombie attack, where he defends himself, kills all but one zombie, where a climactic salsa dance ensues.
so... this is a labor of love. i have no money. the label that supports the band has no money. so i am attempting to tap the creative community for it's services. are there any "zombie" enthusiasts who would be willing to "make up" them selves and act in a video for an idiosyncratic video for the sheer sake of contributing to art???
the shoot would take place early april. i have to get all my ducks in a row before a a shoot date is set.
i hope so. if you or anyone you know would be interested being a zombie, please get in touch...
thanks!!! shoot me an email....
