Voiceover needed (PDX)Looking for a local voiceover artist to record roughly ~500 words of instructions, clues and prompts for a children's music app. You will be voicing a cartoon female sheep character. Extra's Needed - Short film - This Weekend (Portland)
Greetings,
The role of the extra is absolutely crucial to maintaining the audience's suspension of disbelief within a film. As filmmakers we owe an tremendous amount of gratitude towards you committing your time towards our projects.
Underbelly is a short film directed by a local filmmaker Martin Melnick while he usually finds himself working in the post production spectrum his passion for writing spurred this project into motion. Backed up by a fantastic production crew and overwhelming community support, this film is quickly becoming a reality.
This film deals with a particular ethical dilemma two surgens face. Production is taking place this weekend from Friday through Sunday.

We are specifically looking for individuals to play Nurses, Surgens and Hospital Patients, (Specifically a heavy set female patient) Friday and Saturday.
Saturday late night cafe diners a young boy, Grandfather, Maternal woman as well as additional patrons.
Sunday 4-6 extra's for Chinese restaurant patrons.

AUDITIONS continue for the plays East of Yesterday & Xmas Dei (Portland)


This call is for the TV series Part Time Playhouse.

Seeking actors who are quick studies and comfortable with doubling, in some cases tripling, their roles. Our goal is to make EAST OF YESTERDAY an off-book show, and XMAS DEI a staged reading.

Rehearsals will be at the CoHo Theater (Portland) and MetroEast Community Media (Gresham). Availability is a key component to the success of the broadcast.

Auditions will continue to be held on rehearsal days during the month of October. Some roles are cast, but auditions are open to insure against sudden scheduling conflicts.

Open auditions for Grand Guignol 5 ( Kenton)


Third Eye Theatre will be holding open auditions for Grand Guignol 5 on Saturday, October 20, 2012 at 4pm. Grand Guignol 5 will participate in Fertile Ground 2013 new play festival, with run dates from Jan. 24-Feb. 3, 2013. More information on run dates/times and scripts selected available soon.

Parts are for over a dozen male and female parts of varying ages ranging from 18-70 or older. Grand Guignol is a French theatrical genre involving graphic violence and farce. Actors should be comfortable with very personally invasive character work, physical comedy, and intense performances.

Auditions will consist of cold readings from the scripts and will be held at the Kenton Masonic Lodge at 8130 N. Denver Avenue (accessible by Max-Yellow Line, #4 bus line) on October 20, 2012 at 4pm . Headshot & resume requested but not required. Grand Guignol is a French style of theatre also known as "the theatre of terror." It is a theatrical style that was the basis of modern day horror, and has been being produced by Third Eye Theatre for the past four seasons. Third Eye Theatre's Grand Guignol is always composed of at least four one-act vignettes, and one notable M.C. in what might best be described as live, horror, cabaret. So, come join our M.C. Monsieur Guignol for a rollercoaster ride of comedy and horror in our new play, modern Grand Guignol series.

Lakewood Theatre Company holds auditions Oct. 27 for actors ages 14-20 for roles in the all-new holiday show.

Holiday Breakfast Theatre - The Peppermint Bear Show will be directed by Michael Snider.
AUDITION REQUIREMENTS:
  • Prepare a 2-3 minute upbeat song. An accompanist will be provided.
  • Actors should be ready to sing, dance and read from the script at the audition.
  • Bring your calendar and be prepared to list all conflicts. Parents will be asked to sign agreement forms. Conflicts not listed at time of audition may not be honored.
IMPORTANT DATES:
  • The Peppermint Bear show opens Saturday Dec. 1 at 9:00  & 11:00 AM and continues on Saturdays Dec. 8, 15 & 22 at 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM. In addition troupe members will tour on Sundays to nearby Community Centers.
The show is appropriate for ages 3-103. The book and lyrics are by Michael Snider with music by Dana Libonati. The Peppermint Bear Show first premiered as Cinnamon Bear Show at Portland’s Lipman’s Department store which then became Frederick and Nelson. It became a popular Holiday tradition for over 25 years in numerous cities like Chicago, New York, Maui and now returns to Portland after a 35 year absence.

The Holiday Breakfast Theatre production has been an annual Lakewood Theatre tradition for 20 years. Audience members enjoy a special holiday continental breakfast 1/2 hour before the show and performers interact with young audience members to help them celebrate the holidays.

Parts needed: 8 boys and 8 girls (ages 14-20).  The director, Michael Snider, is seeking young people with self-confidence, good vocal skills and stage presence. Auditioners need to prepare a song and bring a head shot and resume. Parents will be asked to sign agreement forms. Call to schedule your name beginning October 2, 2012 at 503-635-3901. Roles include:

  • Mert: Loudmouth, but extremely lovable bossy head-elf.  Fancies herself as quite the star.  
  • Gert:  Something of a nemesis to Mert, she is a bit shyer but can hold her own.
  • Mort:  Overweight, naive and Baby Huey stupid.
  • Peppermint Bear:  The messenger of love and tenderness.  Very huggable.
  • Santa:  Everything we've always pictured in this big, jolly guy.
  • Cecil:  Con man.  Clearly the less stupid of the two villain brothers.
  • Simon:  Con man.  Not so sharp.  A yes man to Cecil.
  • Others:  Various elves are "me too" characters.

Audition location: Lakewood Theatre Company at Lakewood Center for the Arts, 368 S. State Street in Lake Oswego.

Tentative Rehearsal Schedule: The schedule will include Saturdays and Sundays October 28 - November 18 followed by 2 weeks of daily rehearsals (except Thanksgiving) leading up to the first performances Dec. 1.

Performance Schedule: Saturday mornings at 9 & 11:00 AM at Lakewood Center, Dec. 1, 8, 15 & 22, 2012. There may also be some touring shows on Saturday and Sunday afternoons.
