For those of you asking about Facebook updates, PDX Auditions has been on Facebook for a few months now. Upon updating the blog, the link to the auditions is posted on the Facebook Page.
NOTE: With the addition of new
community groups in the area discussing various types of available
acting work, there have been many requests brought to my attention on
ways to improve this free resource.
I will be working to accommodate your requests.
Please
be aware that I am not the creator of the audition posts found on this
page, but do my best to post only what appear to be legitimate paid and
unpaid jobs for local actors, models, and crew.
Direct
all mail of concern regarding specific posts to the address found on
the post itself, and not to me - I have no control over whether a large
corporation chooses to pay their extras/actors or not, but thanks for
sending me your thoughts on that recent craigslist post.
I
will be making some site adjustments based on the feedback provided by
many - separating paid and unpaid projects, student and stipend
(copy/imdb) projects, and those for crew and modeling (those outside of
acting).
If you are a fan of the blog, please share this with actor friends. If you have any feedback for me on how to improve my blog, share this with me so that I may work on improving the blog.
Thanks.

Intersect Video, the Wilsonville based corporate/industrial subsidiary
company of Road’s End Films, has an immediate need for an American English

our Wilsonville based studio for voice recording work as well.

electronics client, and pay begins at $50 USD per hour. Other upcoming work
for this client includes more commercially broadcast material that will pay
SAG/AFTRA rates.

Intersect Video seeks individuals fluent in various languages for QA and translation work
PDXBackstage is an email list allowing members of the Portland, OR theatre
community to post announcements.Hello all -
Intersect Video, the Wilsonville based corporate/industrial subsidiary
company of Road’s End Films, seeks individuals who are fluent in any
non-English language for translation services and linguistic based quality
assurance work.
We are primarily seeking individuals with a native/fluent bilingual language
of either French, Italian, German, Spanish, Russian, Chinese, Japanese,
Swedish, Dutch, Hungarian, Danish, Norwegian, Portuguese, Finnish and
Korean, however we would appreciate hearing from any individuals who are
fluent in any non-English language.
This is not an acting or voiceover gig, however you would be translating
English based voiceover or video scripts to your bilingual language (using
Microsoft Word or other word processing software), and in many cases also
performing linguistic based quality assurance on the localized voiceover or
final video output (using Windows Media Player or Quicktime).
You will need to have a very clear, professional, fluent grasp of your
non-English language and possess the ability to pay attention to details.
For text based translation, Intersect Video offers the rate of $0.12 per
word. For linguistic based quality assurance of localized audio or video,
Intersect Video offers the rate of $35 per hour with a one hour minimum per
job. If you have experience with this and would like to submit a different
rate for this work (especially since we know translation costs can vary per
target language), we would also be interested in hearing from you.
Interested and qualified parties are invited to submit their information to
carey@intersectvideo.com. No phone calls please.

------------------------------------------------Casting for secondary lead in short film - Male in 30's, Tall Dark & Handsome
Yo peoples... looking for an actor for a short film we'd be shooting in the first couple weeks of July. Non-paying gig, but should be a cool piece to add to your reel. Auditions will go on in the next 3 days! Last minute casting.
Actor should be in his 30's and should fit the cliche "tall, dark, & handsome" mold. Think a GQ model with an element of danger. Email beekperson@yahoo.com with headshot/resume and so I can send a copy of the script. Below is a link to a previous short we've done (myself as writer/director, Michelle as DP), and you can find more shorts we've done on my Vimeo page.
