Ibex is a local production company with over 20 years experience producing local commercials here in Portland. We are currently casting for multiple roles for a series of 8 spots we are producing for a small, regional cable company in early April.
We are casting 8 to 10 men and 8 to 10 women in their 20's and 30's to appear in scenes depicting poor customer service in retail establishments, and also happily using telecommunications products in home environments.
The filming will involve 3 to 8 hours for some parts, and two sessions of 3 to 8 hours for other parts. The single session parts will pay $300 and the two-session parts will pay $500.
If you are interested, please respond with a head shot and/or digital photo(s), contact information and details about any acting experience you have. If you have links to online acting samples, that is always appreciated. From these responses, we will select actors to invite to a 10-minute audition at our office in Portland next week.
We will also be casting some additional 20/30 somethings, kids and teens as extras for these commercials @ $100 each, so send your info if you're interested in those parts as well.

Camp staff sought by MetroArts Kids Camp
Now in its 21st year, MetroArts Kids Camp gives 7-12 year olds a chance to experience all the arts – music, dance, theater, and visual arts – for one or two weeks at the Portland Center for the Performing Arts. Kids crank up their creativity through hands-on activities involving each art form and also enjoy live performances, video demonstrations, and classes taught by professional musicians, dancers, actors, and visual artists. Each week's activities culminate with the Friday Project.
Campers meet in the morning on the stage of the Newmark Theatre and are introduced to the key creative words of the day. They also connect with each other by playing theater games. Then it’s off to the first creative experience of the day in music, theater, dance or art! The children work on stage in the Newmark Theater, the Winningstad Theater and all the spaces of PCPA. Throughout the week each camper invents a work in all of the art forms. Whether it’s their own steps to a dance, a unique piece of visual art, a personal rendition of a theater “game”, or a special rhythmic idea in music, every class offers each camper the chance for self-expression. And at the end of the day, the campers share their ideas and accomplishments with each other and the faculty.
MAKC is searching for college counselors in the areas of Visual Arts, Theater, Dance, Music and high school aged volunteers. This is a two week commitment Monday-Friday 8am to 4pm. The counselor positions are paid and volunteers receive documentation of community service hours.
The 2013 camp dates are July 8-12 and 15-19.
Please submit resume and letter of interest electronically. Visit website below for further information on the camp and MetroArts Inc.
