FIT MALE ACTORS NEEDED (PDX)Short, simple video shoot for a company on the East Coast who specializes in low budget horror films.
I need to hire 2 guys in the Portland metro area for a shoot where we will be shooting 4 test scenes for a proposed project they are considering.

The producers are wanting 2 "male actors age 12-29,fit/attractive- swimmers build ideal".

There is some dialogue, but the lines and scenes are improvised/paraphrased from the script.

The project is about 2 roommates who argue until it eventually turns lethal. We are shooting just 4 scenes from the project.

No previous acting experience is needed for this shoot. You only need to show up on time, cause no drama and look the part.

There is no sex or nudity involved in this shoot. However, both guys have shirtless scenes and one showers so we can see that he is naked- but there is no actual nudity in the video.

If these scenes work out well, the company will want to shoot new scenes for the project and likely use the same actors.
They may also want to use you in another project, and I might ask you to be in one of my projects as well if all goes well the day of the shoot.

The shoot is on location at someone's house/apt (TBD), it will take 3-4hrs and will pay $100 (day of shooting).
If interested, you will need to send a photo (face/shirtless) and your contact info.

I want to schedule this shoot within the next week. So please also be very specific about your availability.
Whataver day we set to shoot, if you are unable to make it- you will lose your part and it will go to another actor- so please show up on time.
When sending your pics and info, feel free to ask any questions.

Compensation: $100

Detective (35+) - Must have a good mind for lots of intertwining layers of information and rules. Singing ability welcome, not required.

Please respond through link above, preferably with resume and headshot, and I'll send you the details, what specifically is involved, what/who specifically we're looking for, etc. Please read all that carefully and then let me know if you are interested and/or have further questions.

Thank you,

THE SUNSHINE BOYS by Neil Simon

Directed by Berta Limbaugh

A classic by the king of Broadway comedy.   Two aging vaudevillians who haven’t spoken for 40 years, attempt a grudging reunion for a TV special.  The upshot is a flood of memories, miseries, and, most of all, laughs.

“Another hit for Simon in a shrewdly balanced, splendid and rather touching slice of the show biz life.” – New York Daily News

All roles available:

1. Willie Clark – Cantankerous, but lovable, former vaudeville and radio entertainer.           Shabby, scattered, stuck in his ways, but at the same time, hilarious and endearing.          Age: 70’s

2. Al Lewis – Willie’s former vaudeville partner; estranged from Willie because he left the          “act” for family, solitude, and “normal” society.  Age: 70’s

3. Ben Silverman – Willie’s nephew, agent, and only relation.  Caring and faithful, but          frustrated with Willie’s obstinacy.  Age: 30’s--40’s

4. Young Nurse – Attractive and voluptuous, but a little slow on the uptake.  Age: 20’s

5. Older Nurse – No-nonsense, sharp-tongued, and full of “attitude”.  Willie has met his          match in her.  Age: 40’s-60’s

6. Eddie/Patient  – Assistant Director for Willie and Al’s TV reunion show.  Frazzled and          overwhelmed.  Doubles as Patient in TV comedy sketch.  Age: 20’s-40’s

7. Voices (offstage) – TV Director, Announcer, TV Voice– Strong, commanding, and          able to vary for characterization

Callbacks (if necessary): Monday, March 11, 2013

Rehearsals begin the week of April 14, 2013

Performance Dates:  May 31, 2012 – June 23, 2013

Camp staff sought by MetroArts Kids Camp

Now in its 21st year, MetroArts Kids Camp gives 7-12 year olds a chance to experience all the arts – music, dance, theater, and visual arts – for one or two weeks at the Portland Center for the Performing Arts. Kids crank up their creativity through hands-on activities involving each art form and also enjoy live performances, video demonstrations, and classes taught by professional musicians, dancers, actors, and visual artists. Each week's activities culminate with the Friday Project.

Campers meet in the morning on the stage of the Newmark Theatre and are introduced to the key creative words of the day. They also connect with each other by playing theater games. Then it’s off to the first creative experience of the day in music, theater, dance or art! The children work on stage in the Newmark Theater, the Winningstad Theater and all the spaces of PCPA. Throughout the week each camper invents a work in all of the art forms. Whether it’s their own steps to a dance, a unique piece of visual art, a personal rendition of a theater “game”, or a special rhythmic idea in music, every class offers each camper the chance for self-expression. And at the end of the day, the campers share their ideas and accomplishments with each other and the faculty.

MAKC is searching for college counselors in the areas of Visual Arts, Theater, Dance, Music and high school aged volunteers. This is a two week commitment Monday-Friday 8am to 4pm. The counselor positions are paid and volunteers receive documentation of community service hours.

The 2013 camp dates are July 8-12 and 15-19.

Please submit resume and letter of interest electronically. Visit website below for further information on the camp and MetroArts Inc.
