The scene is pretty simple, our hero is trotting past an attractive girl wearing a corset who is squirming on the sidewalk. Its a super stupid movie, but its going to be hilarious. All you need to do is act like a typical 1600 wench (accent if you can), and be able to rock a corset. If your pregnant already that is a bonus, but of course not needed.

Oregon Children's Theatre - 2012/2013 Season General Auditions
Oregon Children's Theatre is now taking reservations for 2012/2013 Season General Auditions to be held on June 21st - June 24th. In our 25th anniversary season, six mainstage productions--including 3 musicals and a commission--will be performed weekday mornings and weekends during the school year. The Educational Theatre Program, OCT's collaboration with Kaiser Permanente, will also be auditing our adult auditions for touring productions that visit area schools throughout the year. All roles at OCT are paid; we are not able to offer AEA contracts at this time.
--We are seeking both youth ages 8-18 and adults. Students will be grouped by age; adult auditions (June 23rd & 24th only) will be held individually.
--Auditions are held by appointment only, please call our office at 503.228.9571 to schedule. Do not reply to this email to schedule an audition.
--Please bring 2 copies of your headshot & resume to the audition; photocopies are okay. Students - if you don't have a headshot, a current school photo is acceptable.

DETAILS:

All performances will be at the Venetian Theatre in downtown Hillsboro, except Velveteen Rabbit, which will also have performances at the Winingstad Theatre in Portland, OR.
Rehearsals for each production begin approximately 6 weeks in advance of Opening.
AUDITIONS:
Auditions will be held in Hillsboro May 30, 31, and June 7 (all in evenings only) and will be by invitation only. Each actor granted an audition slot will be given a 10 minute private audition with the directors & production staff. Callbacks will be June 15 and June 16 (exact times TBD). To be considered for an audition slot, actors should have previous professional experience, be available for callbacks, have access to reliable transportation, and be available and willing to rehearse and perform in Hillsboro.
Please also include your preference for an audition day/time on the scheduled audition dates (May 30, 31, or June 7). We are not able to accommodate alternative audition times. Actors selected for auditions will be contacted to arrange an audition time. All actors should come prepared with two contrasting monologues not longer than 2 minutes total. Please ensure that your monologue choices are age and character appropriate.
At this time, Bag&Baggage cannot offer contracts to members in good standing of Actors Equity Association and such members need not inquire regarding auditions.

Auditions for The Match.com Monologues written by Phil Busse will be held Saturday, May 19th at the CoHo Theatre 2257 NW Raleigh St.
Late-night performances at the CoHo beginning June 23, and running every Friday and Saturday night through July. There is pay.
Breakdown:
CARL: Male, 35-45, comfortable in his boxer shorts. The character is likable, but also a touch sleazy; needs to push and pull the audience. Primarily a one-man show, with multi-media components. The delivery is more conversational than theatrical.
Allison: Female, 30-38. Sassy and silly, but composed and considerate.

The Beaverton Civic Theatre will hold open auditions for the Lerner and Loewe musical, Camelot. Auditions will be held on Tuesday, May 15 from 6-8pm and Saturday, May 19 from 1-4pm in the Beaverton City Library Auditorium, 12375 SW 5th Street, Beaverton 97005.

PAGATIM, a Portland based start-up that produces professional quality internet radio programming for socially conscious companies (more information can be found at pagatim.fm and pagatim.com.) seeks a motivated self-starter for an internship. This position is perfect for someone interested in learning how to become a producer of digital audio media, a sound engineer, and managing a recording studio while having hands-on experience in an exciting and passionate small company. Mentoring and management from the Studio Manager (SM) and the Director of Programming (DP).
Scope of Opportunity: On the job learning on how to be an effective assistant to online radio producers in development and production of content. Candidate will be exposed to or learn how to sound engineer a recording, edit audio content, generate story ideas, provide research materials, operate control room audio board, produce pre-recorded show elements, and will ultimately know how to handle all show responsibilities.
Learning Objectives: Shadow and assist the SM and EP in generating story ideas, providing research materials for interviews, assisting with guest booking, producing show elements and operating the control room audio board. Implements semi-routine tasks to support production activities and ongoing productions.
Preferred Qualifications: One year of relevant recording work and an understanding of social media. Has familiarity or understanding of audio equipment and processes with digital recording. Demonstrates eagerness to learn the skills to engineer online radio shows, i.e. control room audio board and if needed, other technical equipment.
Compensation: This is a non-paid internship/career experience.
Time commitment: Hours are flexible, but ideally we will bring on 1-2 interns for a total of 20-30 hours per week.
