Experienced Actor for Murder Mystery Theater (PDX)
Hello, we are the Portland troupe of The Murder Mystery Co. We perform a highly interactive version of murder mysteries - it's very much like a giant interactive game of clue. We are auditioning for two male actors able to play Detective, which means you have to master lots of detailed information and love interacting with audience members. We are also auditioning for another primary character - a mildly villainous Hollywood Producer.
We are looking for actors 28 yo+ who have substantial acting experience, can an improv on the fly, and maintain character while interacting with audience members (the focus is mostly on the audience...). Murder Mystery, Improv, Children's Theater, Theme Park, and/or LARP experience is a bonus. (Please note that this is not children's theater, but we have noticed that in addition to those experienced with improv, theme partk, and LARP, those with children's theater experience tend to really "get" being audience interactive).
Shows are performed 2-4 times per week all year with themes that change every 3 months. We have several actors in the troupe and scheduling is according to availability (ie: you are not required to be in every show). Pay is per show. In May we are moving to a new venue closer to downtown Portland.
Compensation: Pay is per show, direct depositted by The Murder Mystery Co.
Please email headshot and resume. Auditions to follow.
Thank you,
David Ronen
Director, The Murder Mystery Company, Portland

Actress wanted Immediately - Wednesday film shoot
A student crew from CCC producing a short film which will be shown at our college's annual film festival in June. We are currently in production and looking to fill a small role. The film follows a young guy and a girl who wake up the morning after a party together and have to banter wildly over whether they had sex the night before. The role we are trying to fill is the lead males girlfriend, "Delaney", who arrives on the scene at the height of the conversation and must have her suspicions put to rest. Delaney is a rather naive and gullible character, unable to see past the clear signs that her boyfriend slept with another woman. Her age range is in her early 20s.
We are set to shoot the scene with Delaney's character this Wednesday (April 24th), as we are planning on wrapping production that day. We have set a block of time from noon till 7 p.m. that day to wrap shooting in which anyone interested in the role would need to be available. We perceive the portion of the film including Delaney's character to take approximately 2 - 2 1/2 hours to shoot so even if you do not have wide open availability on Wednesday, availability long enough to shoot her part will work and we will revolve the shoot around that availability if necessary. Anyone interested will be supplied with a brief outline of the film to get better acquainted with it as well as the portion of the script including Delaney's character.
We are looking to fill this role as soon as possible!

Need Two Actresses - Finishing Short Student Film
I am a digital media and film production student looking to finish a short production I am working on titled "Intersection", which chronicles the lives of several women of various ages as they drive about town all addressing the various issues in their lives only to all come together at the very end of the piece. I have shot all but two of the characters, which I am currently still looking to fill the roles for. I have provided brief descriptions of them below. I am looking to fill these roles as soon as possible and each individual shoot should take roughly between 2 and 3 hours.
CHELSEA (18-22 Years Old) - The youngest character in the film and also the most naive and immature. The focus on Chelsea's character is that of a very young woman still making that transition between being an adolescent and being an adult, and thus she is a very irresponsible driver and focuses her attention on dramatizing minute issues in her life. But over the course of her experience she finds herself also experiencing the need for minor change.
LYDIA (25-30 Years Old) - The most emotionally driven character in the piece, the focus of Lydia's character is that she is a young woman fleeing a dominant and abusive relationship. Thus her character is very soft-spoken and emotionally reactive, spending the bulk of her role just trying to escape but not really knowing where she's going or if her boyfriend may be following her.

The live band performances take place every Tuesday and Thursday from 12pm to 1pm fall, winter, and spring in the park blocks (weather permitting) or indoors at PSU.
Live @ Lunch began streaming live thanks to PSU Television (PSU.tv) and final edits are posted to their website. 3. Ideal candidate must have an interest in local music, different genres, and a knack for talking with people on camera.
4. Candidate needs to be willing to "dress the part", wear makeup, and be open to dying or styling their hair for the show. PSU.tv wants the host to stand out as someone who enjoys the music scene, is excited to speak with local bands even if band members are hesitant to share their stories or openly talk about their music.
Please note:
1. Acting experience is preferred
2. On camera acting or hosting experience is preferred
3. PSU students are preferred (non-traditional students are okay to apply)
4. There are no gender preferences for this role
5. There is no compensation for this role, ideal candidate will want to add to their demo reel or resume.
6. Candidate will receive copies of their performances for demo reel, website, referrals for resume, etc.
For Live @ Lunch show examples, samples, questions.
Location: Portland State University
Compensation: no pay

Low Budget Film - SAG - Casting call
Initial casting call for a low budget (but SAG) film. Filming to being fall 2013.
The film, "Far from Home" looks at the realities of human trafficking and sexual exploitation in the United States.
This initial casting call for 4 primary actors:
1. Julia - 19 years (age can vary depending on the actress hired). Julia is a mid-western homecoming queen type girl. She is pretty, but not glamorous. She has dreams of a professional acting career, but is nowhere near her goal. She twists into the realm of human trafficking and exploitation. She is the main character and her work on this film will carry it. We are willing to look to new, unexposed talent. The nature of the part includes scenes of nudity and simulated exploitation. We would prefer natural looking body and face (rather than surgically altered).
2. Gerald - He wanted to be a director/producer of the stage, but ended up as the proprietor of a gentleman's club meeting all the needs of his customers with fresh talent making its way to Las Vegas. He is older but again, depends on the actor hired. His hopes of mainstream film making flicker but have little chance of burning bright. New talent welcome to send their head shot and resume. The nature of the part includes scenes of nudity and violence.
3. Camille - Older than Julia, but not old. She will train Julia as Gerald wants. She is a cynical, hopeless soul. She has remade herself to get the most bang for the buck. She can be ruthless but in the end she will deliver salvation. New talent welcome. The nature of the part includes scenes of nudity and simulated sexual acts.
4. Driscoll - Julia's Uncle. He knows something is wrong with Julia and her situation, and comes to Las Vegas to bring her home. During the hunt, his inner demons deliver him into the world of trafficking and exploitation, up to and including his niece Julia. This is an older character. New talent welcome. The nature of the part includes scenes of nudity, violence and simulated sexual acts.
As fill these roles and funding is firmed up, we will then be looking at a variety of supporting and background roles.

Murder Mystery Theater Troupe seeking 2-3 male actors (Greater PDX)We are still looking for two or three MALE actors, in their 20's-30's and also 35yrs+ (we now have enough female actors - thank you to everyone that applied). Most of our shows are dinner theater at a local restaurant with 80-100 guests. Our current show is Crime and Pun-ishment and has a 20's mobster theme, but the there will be a totally new theme starting in May. The pics above are from our wedding theme. "Till Death Do Us Part". All our themes (they rotate every 3-4 months) have plenty of campy silliness in addition to mystery and crime. There's LOTS of audience participation - it is a lot like helping run a giant game of Clue - but you still need plenty of acting/improv chops.
Please respond through link above with resume and headshot and I'll send you the details, what specifically is involved, what/who specifically we're looking for, etc. Please read all of that carefully and then let me know if you are interested in auditioning and/or have further questions.

Actors Needed For Short Film (Clackamas, OR)
China, once known for their inexpensive and poorly made products have transformed themselves into the worlds second largest economy. China became the world's top manufacturer in 2011, surpassing the United States and has engineered a comprehensive quiet takeover of the U.S. They have accomplished this through cheap labor, the production of inexpensive products, reverse engineering, the purchase of U.S. debt and taking advantage of educational opportunities in the states. Now through Nano technology, scientifically engineered gray market drugs have been put in place throughout U.S. hospitals. At this very moment unsuspecting U.S. citizens are being genetically altered and transformed into Sun Tzu Zombie Warriors!
I completed the script for Sun Tzu Zombie Warriors in September of 2011 and have been slowly putting all the pieces in place. The equipment has been purchased, two out of three locations have been secured, most of the crew has been assembled and now it's time to find actors and actresses to fill the rolls.
C.N.A. = Male, Hispanic, Age 23+ or look that old or older.
General Chen = Male, Chinese (or look the part) 40+ or look that old or older.
John Johnson = Filled
Marry Johnson = Filled
Nurse Li = Nurse Li is a main character and plays an important roll in the film. Chinese (or look the part), late 20's up to early mid 30's.
Security Guard = Filled
This is a "bucket list" item for me and I plan on crossing this item off my list this year. Primary filming will take place in June and one secondary scene will be shot in May. My ultimate goal is to enter Sun Tzu Zombie Warriors in multiple film festivals and see what kind of recognition the film receives.
If you have an interest in one of the roles, feel free to email me (hainesm12@msn.com) or call me (503-659-6662) for more details about the film and the roll your interested in. Facebook: Sun Tzu Zombie Warriors
I'm also in search of a makeup/special effects person for the film as well.

Five Southern women, whose friendships began many
years ago on their college swim team, set aside a
long weekend every August to recharge those
relationships. Free from husbands, kids and jobs,
they meet at the same beach cottage on North
Carolina's Outer Banks to catch up, laugh and
meddle in each other's lives. THE DIXIE SWIM CLUB
focuses on four of those weekends and spans a
period of thirty-three years. As their lives
unfold and the years pass, these women
increasingly rely on one another, through advice
and raucous repartee, to get through the
challenges (men, sex, marriage, parenting,
divorce, aging) that life flings at them. And
when fate throws a wrench into one of their lives
in the second act, these friends, proving the
enduring power of "teamwork," rally 'round their
own with the strength and love that takes this
comedy in a poignant and surprising direction.
THE DIXIE SWIM CLUB is the story of these five
unforgettable womena hilarious and touching
comedy about friendships that last forever…

wraps men around her little finger with a look.

Jeri Neal – a hard luck case, nothing ever goes
right for her, she is poor financially, very
self-deprecating and has a gallows sense of humor.
